Cochrane–Buffalo City VFW Post 10406 will conduct its annual Memorial Day ceremonies on Sunday, May 24, and Monday, May 25, 2026, to honor and remember the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
All Sunday evening ceremonies will be conducted rain or shine.
In the event of severe weather on Memorial Day Monday, the public will be notified no later than 7:00 AM regarding activation of the Memorial Day weather plan. Notifications will be posted on the Cochrane–Buffalo City VFW website at
vfwpost10406.org and on the
VFW Post 10406 Facebook Page. Community members may also search “VFW Post 10406” on Facebook for updates.
If the weather plan is activated, Monday cemetery ceremonies will not be conducted. Instead, all Memorial Day activities will be consolidated into a single collective ceremony at 10:00 AM at the Cochrane–Fountain City School auditorium.
The Cochrane–Buffalo City VFW encourages all community members to attend and join in honoring the service and sacrifice of America’s fallen veterans.
