Welcome to a new Auxiliary year at Post 10406! I am honored and excited to once again have the opportunity to serve as your Auxiliary President and help lead this wonderful team.
As we begin this new year, I want to reflect on the mission of the VFW Auxiliary:
The VFW Auxiliary is dedicated to improving the lives of veterans, active-duty service members, their families, and the communities they serve.
It is a mission we can all be proud of, and one that our Auxiliary continues to fulfill through volunteerism, service, and unwavering support for both our veterans and our community.
This promises to be a historic year as we celebrate not only the 250th anniversary of our nation, but also the 50th anniversary of the Post 10406 Auxiliary Charter.
We encourage all members to participate in our monthly business meetings, held at the Post at 7:00pm on the second Thursday of each month, with the option to join via Zoom for those unable to attend in person.
Our Auxiliary offers several ways to stay connected, including Facebook, text messaging, and email. We also maintain an Auxiliary section on the Post 10406 VFW website to help keep everyone informed.
Throughout the year, our Auxiliary takes part in community outreach, youth activities, our monthly Post Chicken Q, and many other opportunities for service, camaraderie, and fellowship. There is truly something for everyone, offering each member a chance to find their place, their purpose, and a sense of belonging.

Established 1914, members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Auxiliary set out to serve the veterans of this country and our communities in honor of the sacrifices and commitment of every man and woman who has served in uniform. The VFW Auxiliary is one of the nation’s oldest veterans’ service organizations and our members are the relatives of those who have served in overseas combat. More than 475,000 members in nearly 3,900 Auxiliaries nationwide who volunteer millions of hours and fundraise millions of dollars for charitable projects that benefit veterans, military service personnel and their families.
